Adfin | Moving direct debits to Adfin is easier than you think

Moving direct debits from another provider can feel scary, but here at Adfin we’ve been working to make it easy and simple for you and your clients.

When you move your direct debits, you have two options.

1. Send new mandates to your clients

With Adfin this is easy to do. Simply import your clients or create them in Adfin, then send mandates to all. Switching to Adfin just got a whole lot easier. When your customer signs a direct debit mandate with Adfin, we’ll automatically update your invoices in Xero or QuickBooks to use Adfin for payment.

⚙️ How it works

Make sure invoice migration is enabled in your settings
Send direct debit mandates to your clients
Once a mandate is signed and active, we will:
- Update the branding theme in Xero or the invoice terms in QuickBooks
- Apply this to both standard and repeating invoices
- Remove other payment providers from the invoice so there’s nothing you need to do

📬 After the switch

You’ll get an email notification when a customer has been migrated
We’ll tag the customer in your dashboard so you can easily keep track

This typically has the least effort involved, since all you have to do is send your mandates and we do all the hard work once they’ve signed.

2. Use our mandate migration service

With this option, there’s no need for your clients to sign new mandates. The process takes a little longer, but it ensures a seamless shift to Adfin with no friction for your clients.

We’ll guide you through every step of the process:

Raise the request with Adfin and your old provider
We’ll work with you and your old provider to get the right forms signed and agree the best change date
We’ll notify your customers 3 business days before the change date that their payment process is changing – they don’t have to do anything
On the change date, your old provider cancels the mandates and we create them in Adfin
If you’re raising invoices in Xero or QuickBooks, we’ll automatically update them to use Adfin
From then on, collections will be via Adfin
